The tale of the three blind nightblades

I had been hired by the Mages Guild to protect one of its most distinguished members while he was recovering his energies, just prior to be teleported away. The task was proving to be very boring: I had loitered silently in the guild rooms for about an hour, careful about not to awaken the wizard in trance, when I heard the crack of a door opening: someone had broke in. I quickly drew my weapon and proceeded to the source of the noise: my path was blocked by a group of three hooded figures standing in a doorway.

Nightblades! And they had come for the mage I had been assigned to defend!

I thrusted my blade forward and spilled some blood from the first of them; he barely seemed to notice it and boasted confidently: "You are not the person we seek! Stand aside, apprentice whelp, else we'll cut you down too!" I was not intimidated by such a threat and got ready for a bloody fight. Unfortunately, they were quicker and managed to strike before I could react... but their swords fended the air! I was amazed: I was a good dodger, but I didn't imagine I could avoid three blows at the same time. The nightblades' weapons kept on swinging but surprisingly they could do nothing but fall harmlessly away from my body... and I was just in front of them! This bizarre "dance" continued for a while, then I got tired of it and decided to attack: after but a few slashes of my Dai-Katana the nightblades lay lifeless at my feet. Needless to say, my mission was successful and I was given my reward, while some servants carried away the corpses.

What happened was strange indeed: the only explanation I can think was that those assassins were completely blind! Well I wonder which one was the fooler: the nightblades or their employer!

* Writer's Note: actually, I encountered this bug more than once: sometimes it helps you raise your dodging skill, sometimes it doesn't. Weird, isn'it? *
